80. Wedding insurance was never designed for a pandemic

Sarah Kocianski and Nigel Walsh are joined by a panel of guests to talk about wedding insurance and how the industry has had to adapt and work with their customers during the pandemic.

Sarah Kocianski and Nigel Walsh are joined by a panel of great guests to talk about wedding insurance and how this industry has been affected by the pandemic. Joining us today are:

  • Heidi McCormack, CEO & Founder of Emerald Life
  • Mark Brown, CEO & Founder of Insuremore

Kicking off the show, we talk about wedding insurance as a product, and how it is usually designed and sold. We go on to talk about what the experience was like for the guests when the country went into lockdown in March, and finish off by looking toward the future, and what wedding insurance might look like in 2021.

We are also given a real life perspective by our very own audio engineer Alex Woodhouse who has personally been affected by the cancellation of weddings, and what that meant for his insurance policy. He also answers the big question, did he manage to get married in the end?
